FIVE ARTISTS SHORTLISTED for the BULLDOG BURSARY AWARD and had to take a portfolio of work down to the Mall Galleries in London – the home of the Royal Society to Portrait Painters who award the Bursary annually. The winner gets one year of mentoring from members of the Royal Society and an award of £5,000 to go toward their professional development.
I didn’t win the award, but was chuffed to be shortlisted – I also got some valuable feedback on my work from the three RSSP members who interviewed me.
